Enjoy the holidays - even the silly ones!

by Nicole

January 22, 2010

Most of us don't need a reason to do things like have a good time, show friends and family we care or say 'Thank You' to the helpful people in our lives, but sometimes it's easier when there's a day set aside to help you remember!

We've started a list for the first few months of the year to share a giggle and also remind you (and ourselves!) of all the reasons we have to celebrate life and the people we share it with.  If you have any fun and wacky holidays we missed, please share them in the comments section!

[Maybe start Valentine's Day early on Carnation Day with the Heart and Soul bouqet - don't the carnations there look fantastic?

January
5 - National Bird Day
6 - Twelfth Night
11 - Secret Pal Day
12 - National Pharmacists Day
24 - Compliment Day
28 - Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day
29 - Carnation Day - Have you seen some of the beautiful things a florist can do with carnations? What a great day to find out!
31 - Backwards Day

February
1 - Wear Red Day
5 - Pancake Day
8 - Boy Scouts' Day
11 - Satisfied Staying Single Day
15 - Family Day
20 - Hoodie Hoo Day
28 - Floral Design Day - Well, that's exciting! Celebrate your florist and their design skills on the 28th!
29 - Leap Day

[Is there any better way to celebrate Share a Smile Day than with a Be Happy Bouquet?

March
1 - Share a Smile Day - I think that says it all. :)
3 - I Want You To Be Happy Day
4 - Hug a GI Day
7 - Peace Corps Day
8 - Plant a Flower Bulb Day
12 - Girl Scouts' Day
21 - Single Parents' Day
26 - Make Your Own Holiday Day
30 - Doctor's Day

April
7 - No Housework Day
10 - National Sibling Day
15 - Accountants' Day
17 - Husband Appreciation Day - I have it on good authority that husbands like flowers and plants, too, ladies!
22 - Take Your Child to Work Day
26 - Hug A Friend Day
28 - Kiss Your Mate Day

There are a few not-so-silly holidays coming up soon, by the way!  Don't forget Valentine's Day is Sunday, February 14th. Sealed

Look for another edition in a few months with more silly holidays!  And please, if there are any we missed that you'd like to share, post a comment and let us know.
