Mother's Day is less than two weeks away, so maybe you've already purchased a Mother's Day gift (and if you haven't, what are you waiting for?!). You went to all of the effort to get just the right thing, to make sure you knew you Mom's favorite flower or to remember her favorite perfume. Now, you've got to top that present off with a card.

The Mother's Day card is a lot like whipped cream on an ice cream sundae - do you really need it? No, but the whole thing just doesn't seemed finished if it's not there.
Thanks to the creative minds that brought you the various lines in Teleflora's Mother's Day eCards, here are a few tips to consider when choosing and filling in your Mother's Day card:
- Match the card with the gift. Did you get Mom a soothing, relaxing gift, a sweet "I love you more than words" gift or a fun, exciting gift? Look for a card with a similar tone.
- You've always got a choice to write it yourself - you could buy a blank card and have a go at writing your own, more personal message to Mom.
- Tell your Mom what exactly makes her special - if it's her sense of humor, then remind her how much you like to laugh together, or if she's your rock, mention how she's always been there for you in your times of need. Say more than 'Thanks, Mom, I love you.' to make it extra special!
- If you're writing for a small card to go with a bouquet of flowers for Mom, keep it simple, but personal. How do you do that? Well, I might tell my Mom - "You deserve these, Mom, for holding the phone all those hours that I talk!"

- It's not about the words, it's about what they mean to you both. Don't become overly self-conscious! She's known you longer than anyone else, and will probably understand what you're trying to say.
